The Bazooka Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Associate Brand Manager in Innovation for our New York City headquarters. With iconic brands including Ring Pop, Push Pop, Bazooka Bubble Gum, & Juicy Drop, BCB is one of the leading manufacturers & innovators of non-chocolate confections in the US geared towards kids and kids at heart.The Senior Associate Brand Manager role is on the Innovation team which oversees new product development across the portfolio, a strategic priority for BCB. Our goal is to develop compelling innovation that seeks to make the world a bit more fun. Reporting to the Director of Innovation, the Senior Associate Brand Manager will make tangible contributions to the Bazooka Companies through:Owning specific initiatives aimed at driving the business, including exploring new tactical opportunities and executing new product innovation projects. This will encompassPartnering with internal teams and inventors to develop new product ideas.Managing market research studies to drive insights across a wide variety of needs, concept writing and creative/graphic development of new product ideasManaging project timelines in collaboration with cross functional teams to make sure key projects milestones are metWorking closely with the cross-functional team and vendors to commercialize new products and set up the correct supply chainContributing to creating the brand vision & strategy for cross-portfolio innovationAssisting the Director in managing and executing annual business plans to ensure efficient & effective use of resourcesAssisting the Director in driving the assigned businesses to meet revenue & profit targets; including preparing marketing presentations and documents to facilitate management approvalsMonitoring & analyzing business performance in IRI and e-commerce data platforms, including identifying trends or white spaces and developing action plansBudget tracking and invoice managementSkills & AbilitiesStrategic mindsetCreative thinking and ideationStrong bias for actionDetail-orientedPassion for the businessProblem identification/solvingProven ability to manage & advance multiple priorities at once, in a timely fashion & with high quality outputStrong cross-functional leadershipStrong interpersonal & communication skills to drive alignment across the organization, with agencies and senior managementDemonstrated track record of commercialization executionDemonstrates strong accountability, collaboration and responsivenessAbility to work with internal group or agency to develop compelling creative workSound analytic skills including IRI analysis (or Nielsen)Experience in quantitative and qualitative market researchExperience with Amazon marketplace commercialization best practices inclusive of product positioning and pricing dynamicsStrong financial understanding including experience with budget management, costing and P&L managementEducation/Experience2-3 years CPG brand managementKid-focused, Confectionary, or Snack Food experience a plusE-Commerce experience a plusBachelor’s degree requiredSalary Range$100,000 - $115,000
