Responsible for maintaining the operations and appearance of MasTec Renewables equipment at the jobsite level including assessment, diagnosis, replacement, and repair. This is an on-site position requiring travel to jobsites 100% of the time.Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting on the job siteMaintain work orders through the app and complete required inspections in various stages of repairPerform machine preventative maintenance services and maintain service intervals per the original equipment specificationsConsistently fill and send off fluid samples for analysisOperate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect equipment for defectsPerform and/or verify DOT annual inspection per Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulationsEnsure equipment safety (i.e., backup alarms, lights, seat belts, fire extinguishers, rigging, etc.)Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standardsEffectively communicate with Field Equipment Manager to obtain parts needed for repairDocument all work performed and recommended on the repair orderIdentify and report machinery defects or malfunctions to Field Equipment Manager and complete repairTest vehicles and equipment when requiredKeep work area neat and cleanMaintain tool inventory on service truck to ensure all tools are available and in working orderUnderstand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.Operate all tools and equipment in a safe mannerReport any safety issues immediately to the Field Equipment ManagerOther duties as assignedEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent preferredCertificate from college or technical school preferredOne to three years related experienceCommercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferredMust have Medical Examiner Certification or ability to obtainMust have a valid driver’s license and be able to drive company equipment per company policyKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company’s Zero Injury principlesAbility to read schematicsAbility to complete all aspects of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) recommended preventative maintenance services for engine, transmission, and hydraulic systems on construction equipment and vehiclesAbility to track and maintain records of completed work and update status of open work ordersAbility to complete scheduled maintenance tasks including but not limited to: wheel and tire changes, cutting edge replacement, DOT inspections, services, etc.Ability to identify and request parts and complete repairs using OEM manualsAbility to use digital systems such as email, phone/tablet for inspections and photos, time tracking application, digital OEM manualsAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair and service equipmentAbility to use, repair and maintain machines and toolsStrong problem-solving skillsWillingness to learnAbility to work efficiently, independently and follow through on assignmentsAbility to work well with othersPosition may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
