NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED 92A - Automated Logistical Specialist Job Description:An Army Automated Logistical Specialist (MOS 92A) supervise and perform warehouse functions. Automated Logistical Specialist maintain equipment records, parts, and inventories. This job controls the stock that keeps operations going. Whenever a unit or individual needs a specific part or piece of equipment, they will go to the Automated Logistical Specialist to get it. These soldiers follow procedures to ship, receive, store and issue stock. This position contains both computer work and manual labor. Specialists physically unload and store supplies in addition to collecting and analyzing shipping data. Record KeepingAutomated Logistical Specialist will ensure that the shipments are correct and that all data is logged correctly. When receiving a shipment or sending one out, they will review contracts, purchase requests and shipping documents to verify the actual quantities received match. They will perform automated recording of stock. Specialists are responsible for establishing and maintaining various documents, reports, and regulation forms. Some examples of these documents or reports include stock records, inventory, material control, supply reports, and accounting. Soldiers in this MOS are required to operate the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army). This logistics system is used to track supplies, organizational equipment, and spare parts. The system not only tracks inventory but unit maintenance and cost/financial transactions. Managing MaintenancePart of the Automated Logistical Specialist's duties is to constantly work toward efficiency improvements. Specialists aim to simplify and standardize the collection/use of maintenance data. The Specialist works toward improved maintenance management. They will attempt to raise the quality and accuracy of performance, cost, and parts. The soldiers in this MOS manage all maintenance records and reports related to equipment operation and maintenance. The Specialist will follow warehouse procedures and ensure that other personnel are following the correct procedures as well. Stock ManagementAutomated Logistical Specialists use warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, to load and unload shipments. After receiving a shipment, the Specialist will unload, unpack, count, segregate, palletize, and then store incoming supplies and equipment. Qualifications and Training: To enter into this MOS soldiers must first take the ASVAB test at MEPS and score a minimum of 90 on the Clerical (CL) portion. Training requires 10 weeks of
