The Position:Censeo seeks an energetic, self-motivated, and flexible individual for the role of Proposal Coordinator to support our Business Development team as the firm grows. The Proposal Coordinator organizes, coordinates, and helps execute business development activities across Censeo to ensure the company's growth strategy is implemented in a well-coordinated, timely, and efficient manner. Responsibilities:Supports the proposal development process, including developing proposal templates, establishing deadlines, collecting information from technical writers, drafting non-technical content, and editing of proposal draftsManages and regularly updates the opportunity tracking dashboard within SharePoint; proactively identifies risks when delays occur and mitigates accordinglySchedules and facilitates meetings with partner companiesIdentifies new potential opportunities through open-source research and monitoring government websitesWorks with business development team to develop action plans for capturing opportunitiesManages and coordinates business development collateral, working closely with Marketing on material and social media content developmentContinuously identifies and introduces process improvements to ensure effectiveness and efficiencyFacilitates other aspects of business development including managing proposal documents on SharePoint, maintaining a database of partner firms, alerting partners of new opportunities, and evaluating partners capabilities and interest in opportunitiesThe Ideal Candidate: At Censeo, we are looking for unique candidates whose passion and enthusiasm will help shape Censeo's client insights and workplace culture. We believe a successful Proposal Coordinator will be collaborative, detail- and deadline-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a small, high performing team. The ideal candidate would have: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (business, communications, English, or journalism, etc)0-1 years of business experience (internships count) preferably with direct exposure to Federal government business development, marketing, or proposal developmentProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including Word and SharePointExperience collaborating with team members and comfortable being the point person for coordinating team effortsStrong interpersonal and relationship building skillsStrong written communications skills; ability to communicate clearly and succinctlyAbility to quickly and effectively learn new toolsStrong organization and time management skillsDemonstrated experience in a deadline-oriented environmentThe Location:Censeo Consulting Group is based in Washington D.C., a fantastic city for working professionals. We work in a hybrid setting with flexibility to work from home and work in our office conveniently located in the heart of downtown, just a few blocks away from the White House.
