We are seeking an energetic self-starter for a unique opportunity to assume the role of Counsel on the Investment Services Legal team supporting each of our North American Corporate Trust business and our global Treasury Services business (with primary focus on Payments and Liquidity Services). This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA u2013 working on a hybrid this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: Negotiate and draft transactional agreements for BNY Mellonu2019s US Corporate Trust businessu2013 including a broad range of public not-for-profit related agreements, escrow, insurance trust, structured finance and custody agreements Document and negotiate global banking agreement terms with Treasury Services clients, working closely with the contract management team supporting Payments and Liquidity Services Manage escalations from various business stakeholders internally and outside counsel on transactional and documentation issues Advise on all aspects of (i) corporate trust and (ii) payments and liquidity services transactions, products, programs, platforms, processes and related matters Assist on special, regional and global projects as required for the Corporate Trust and Treasury Services (Payments and Liquidity Services) businesses At times interact with senior management and relevant business stakeholders Partner with control functions serving in an advisory or oversight capacity, such as Risk, Audit and Compliance Manage outside counsel and advise on business, regulatory and legal developments Collaborate with the Treasury Services Trade Finance Legal Team, as needed Negotiate servicing outsourcing contractsTo be successful in this role, weu2019re seeking the following: Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and a member of the Pennsylvania or New York Bar. 1-3 yearsu2019 experience across a broad range of transactions in finance, debt capital markets and banking (with a preference for corporate trust and/or cash management transactions representing major financial institutions) Ability to handle a diverse and demanding workload Excellent negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, drafting and communications skills Ability to function independently, but also to function as part of effective teams Public Not-For-Profit experience, cross-border transactional experience and experience with digital assets/payment platforms a plus Some familiarity with (i) Regulations CC, E, and J, (ii) UCC 3, 4 and 4A and NACHA Rules a plusAt BNY Mellon, our inclusive culture speaks for itself.
