Join our collaborative team of HR professionals dedicated to enhancing the employee experience at Sargent & Lundy. As an HR Generalist, your responsibilities will include:Coordinating all phases of recruitment for assigned departmentsCollaborating with department managers to craft precise job descriptions and hiring criteriaImplementing effective recruiting methods tailored to the role and industry standardsCoordinating interviews and overseeing the selection processAssisting in salary negotiation and onboarding processesEnsuring compliance with employment laws and company policiesRepresenting Sargent & Lundy at college career fairsProviding guidance on company policies and benefitsConducting HR research and maintaining employment recordsConducting exit interviews and preparing HR reportsUndertaking special HR projects as assignedWorking collaborativelywith other HR GeneralistsThis position offers a hybrid schedule, with 3 office days per week and the remainder remote/virtual.We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.Preferred qualifications for this HR Generalist role include:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management with a focus on Human Resources or a related field2+ years of experience as a recruiter or HR GeneralistKnowledge of labor laws and regulationsStrong commitment to internal and external customer serviceExceptional ability to manage multiple priorities with a results-oriented approachProficiency in problem diagnosis and solution implementationAptitude for utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to drive decisionsOutstanding written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated bias for action, strong work ethic, and dedication to excellencePassion for innovative HR solutions and process enhancementProficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookFamiliarity with internet sourcing techniques, such as Boolean search, and experience with platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, or similar job boardsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced recruiting environmentWillingness to travel (less than 10%) and occasionally work overtimeDesirable qualifications:Prior experience as an HR Generalist with a consulting, professional services, architecture/engineering firm, or staffing agencyFamiliarity with iCIMS or Cornerstone systemsHR certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP)Sargent & Lundy is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
