Essen has won awards for its patient care innovations and recently launched Intention Health Ventures to develop and commercialize our technology innovationsPosition Title: Actuary Associate Level lJob Summary: Essen Health Care has a posiition open for an Actuary Associate Level l who will be responsible for performing various actuarial functions, such as analysing data, developing and maintaining models, and preparing reports.Serves as project manager on medical initiatives, tracking medical and financial experienceQuantify the impact of the population, risk scores and rates changes, and savings impacts due to the medical initiativesPerform trends analysis to understand the changes of the utilization and costs per unitsIdentify medical opportunities and provide programming/analysis/reporting for cohorts of membersPartner with Operations, Medical, IT and Business leaders to gather requirements and provide with analysis updatesBachelor’s degree in Statistics, Math or related field is required+3 years experience at health plans and/or providersExperience at actuarial and/or analytics departmentsUnderstand healthcare concepts, VBP, ACO REACH, Medicare, Medicaid, reconciliations, revenue cyclesHave previous working experience with healthcare dataDemonstrate critical thinking and express ideas to not technical peopleAdvanced skills in Excel and SQL, basic skills in SASExperience with reporting and data visualizationSalary- $120,000- $150,000 annuallyEssen Health Care is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, and we seek candidates who desire to work in and serve an ethnically-diverse population.
