Founded in 1978, High Steel Service Center, an affiliate of High Industries Inc., has a 200,000-square-foot facility with 150,000 tons of capacity. A full-line metal processor and distributor, High Steel Service Center offers carbon steel, aluminum flat rolled, and stainless steel products. We are actively seeking an experienced Electromechanical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team!After completion of their 120-day training on 1st shift (Monday - Friday, 6:30AM - 3:00PM,) our new team member will begin their 4-day, 10-hour 2nd-shift schedule, which runs Monday - Thursday, 3:00PM -1:30 AM. Once on 2nd shift, the coworker will earn a $3.00/hr shift differential.OurElectromechanical Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing a wide range of duties to maintain, replace, repair or install equipment, building facilities, structures, and production machinery. Each technician is assigned one of our production lines and will be responsible for ensure the efficient operation of that line. Technicians will also assist other team members in the event of a production line outage.Areas of responsibility:Perform preventative maintenance on assigned production lineTroubleshoot and repair assigned production line as outages occurAssist other team members in the event of an outage on another piece of equipmentInspect, troubleshoot and repair material moving equipment. ie: Cranes, Forklifts, SideloaderMaintain and adequate supply of parts, supplies, and materials needed for maintenanceInspect various equipment throughout the facility; checking for faulty operations, defective materials or quality issuesEducational and Work Experience:Five (5) years of industrial electromechanical maintenance experience, requiredIn lieu of time worked, completion of an electromechanical training program, requiredExperience in PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and machine maintenance, requiredOverhead crane troubleshooting and repair experience, preferredAbility to be on call and flexibility to work overtime as needed, requiredAbility to work as part of a team and independentlyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWorking for The High Companies:Tuition Assistance with 100 percent reimbursement for approved courses and degree programs which are job related and approved in advance by your supervisor.Employee Assistance Program provides professional, confidential assistance for any type of personal issue you or your eligible dependents are experiencing.High Family Foundation Scholarship is awarded annually to the children of High co-workers working at least 1,000 hours per year and employed for at least two years.
