Essential Job Functions:Workshop Facilitation Create and implement a bi-weekly LTW Seminar curriculumNYS Employment RegulationsState and federal OSHA regulationsResume PreparationJob orientation and interview techniquesAdminister career assessmentsCollect weekly timesheets from students and tally time spent at the worksiteCollaborate with faculty to correlate classroom and on-the-job training (Including but not limited to: guest speakers, job shadowing, mentorships, service learning, career fairs, internships, resume writing workshops, etc.).Issue internship applications and packets to selected students for parental consent and ensure that all paperwork is returned and filed in LTW student filesDistribute working papers applications and ensure that all necessary documents are signed and receivedDevelop a variety of internship experiences for prospective students (in collaboration with FSA and building stakeholders to develop and sustain relationships with strategic partners)Assist students in determining appropriate internship placement based on their personal, academic and career goalsWork-Based Learning ActivitiesEvaluate, select, and establish worksites appropriate for student skills and interestsInform worksite supervisors and parents of their roles and responsibilitiesCreate, monitor, and adjust training plans in collaboration with the worksite supervisor and studentsHelp worksite supervisors develop teaching techniques for working with studentsMonitor student progress through regular on-site visits and ongoing communicationDevelop and coordinate work experiences that encourage nontraditional occupational opportunitiesPrepare, administer, and analyze student and employer follow-up surveysContact and use stakeholders to publicize work-based learning student programs, events, projects, materials, proceedings of advisory council meetings, and related itemsDevelop and maintain a community partnership documentation systems for ongoing relationship-building activities across internal and external communities, including opportunities to prompt work based learningSecondary Job Functions:Serve on school admin team and participate in weekly cabinet meetingsAdditional responsibilities as needed consistent with the general nature of the position
