Job Type Full-time Description MATT Construction, the General Contractor that built such iconic structures as The Broad Museum and Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, is accepting applications for the Project Manager role. The RoleReporting to the Senior Project Manager or VP, The Project Manager is responsible for the overall orchestration of a project from buyout, procurement to close out, and possess a thorough understanding the contract documents. Additionally, the PM is the primary contact with our clients and understands the importance of budget, schedule, quality, and safety. Finally, the PM collaborates with the Superintendent to ensure the project's success and leads a staff of Project Engineers while mentoring their development to become Builders. Your key responsibilities will include:Establishing and building relationships with clients/owners, owner's reps, architects and subcontractors, resulting in repeat business and recommendationsStepping up to conflicts and working to agreement equitablyManaging client expectationsManaging the financial aspects of the projectProject bidding and buyout, start up, jobsite management and efficient closeoutManaging subcontractor procurement, submittals, RFIs and change ordersMinimizing riskImplementing and managing QAQC proceduresWorking collaboratively with the project superintendent for a quality pre-con and construction: ensuring the schedule is in place, being followed, and being updated with a level of detail sufficient for a meaningful baselineExecuting regular reporting on impacts to the baseline scheduleWorking collaboratively and proactively with the project superintendent: ensuring project safetyDelegating appropriately and developing and teaching others to be effectiveProject documentationThe project's gross margin and profitability Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Architecture, or Engineering preferred, but experience will be considered in lieu of educationAt least 7 years of commercial construction industry experience, with at least 2 of those years in project managementExperience overseeing contracts of $25M or moreExperience managing project teams of 1-10 membersExperience with fast-paced schedulesTechnical knowledge of building components and systemsHigh-level knowledge of Type I construction means and methodsThorough knowledge of procedures: A102 and A201 contracts, subcontracts, change orders, submittals, RFIs and close outProficiency with Bluebeam, BIM, P6 and ProcoreAbility to engage effectively at all levels, from front line to C-suiteCompassion, empathy and judgementA passion for buildingMATT Benefits Include:Monthly auto allowance and gas cardYearly Bonus/Deferred Compensation eligibleRobust and affordable insurance plan options401(k) with matchingEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)Paid Time OffEducation reimbursementStudent Loan paydown planMATT Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
