USD $16.00/Hr.USD $17.10/Hr.SCOPE OF ROLE:Provide quality cleanliness oversight to assigned building(s).This role is for scatter site program in Brooklyn.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas within the facility. This includes but is not limited to: floor care (mopping, sweeping, buffing, stripping and waxing), cleaning bathrooms, emptying trash, separating recyclables, emptying garbage, wiping windows and walls, and cleaning stairways.Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance throughout assigned areas of the facility.Responsible for exterior snow and ice removal as well as upkeep of the grounds. This includes but is not limited to sidewalk maintenance, maintaining landscaping, and all other aspects of the building exterior.Assist Staff with special events by setting the chairs and tables up for use making sure the area is clean and safe for allMaintain building maintenance tools and machinery to ensure that all items are in good working condition.If Program does not have a superintendent, Responsible for ordering cleaning supplies, paper supplies, lightbulbs, garbage bags, etc. and maintaining biweekly inventory.Assist in moving and storing program supplies, office furniture, office equipment, dorm furniture, consumer belongings, and other items in and around the facility when and where appropriate.Comply with all SUS Employee Policies, Procedures and Protocols SUS Cooperate Compliance PoliciesWilling to assist when EMERGENCIES arise in the FacilityMust wear SUS maintenance uniform and must maintain uniform so that it is clean and presentable at the start of each shift.Complete other tasks assigned by Director or SuperintendentAttend staff meetings, group supervision, and trainings as needed.Assist with apartment turn over following move outs to prepare apartments for new families, this includes plastering, sanding walls and painting; transporting resident and property to new apartment/unit.Assist Super with the maintenance of the buildingSalary: Min $15.76/hour - Max 17.10/hourBenefits Overview:We offer attractive compensation with comprehensive benefits including: Medical/Dental/Prescription/Vision/Life Insurance; 403(b); Credit Union; FSAs; Short-and-Long-Term Disability; Transportation Plan; Generous Paid Vacations and HolidaysREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:At least one year of maintenance & cleaning experience in a large residential or Program setting.Must possess good interpersonal skills.Valid NY State Driver’s License.Minimum one year experience working with mentally ill individuals within a residential or scatter-site program.Air conditioner installation, lock and cylinder changes, smoke detector installation, etc.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:High School Diploma or GED preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish speaking preferred.Beneficial for candidate to have experience working within a Supportive Housing setting.HS Diploma or GED required.Minimum one year experience as a repair-person.Effective August 30, 2021, unless granted a reasonable accommodation for disability, all new hires must show proof of vaccination against the COVID-19 virus.
