For more information, go , and interact with us onLinkedIn,Glassdoor,Indeed,Facebook,Twitter,YouTubeandInstagram.Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Project Financial this role, the successful candidate manages a team of project financial analysts team supporting the programmatic development and infrastructure project portfolio, oversees day-to-day financial operations related to the projects portfolio, collaborates with Project Management team and other REDF areas to ensure sound financial management of the capital projects under purview and is responsible for reporting and KPIs related to the areas performance.Job Responsibilities:Perform day-to-day activities and functions while ensuring that departmental policies and procedures as well as cost and accounting standards are fully adhered to and implemented. Reviews and processes for payment billings from contractors, subcontractors and consultants. Performs account reconciliations of related construction accounts and construction reports. Prepares and processes journal entries.Represent the Department in an appropriate and professional manner in all types of communications and settings; exhibit professional demeanor when dealing with managers, staff, colleagues or vendors; maintain professional attitude and composure in stressful or conflict situations.Follow-up on issues and open items without prompting. Be proactive in issuing necessary communications without prompting. Respond to emails and all requests timely. Ensure departmental deadlines are consistently met. Use good judgement when making decisions, understand the implications of such decisions/actions and inform Supervisor municate clearly and succinctly, initiate necessary communications without prompting from the Supervisor, to both internal and external colleagues in order to clarify issues, processes, etc; to facilitate smooth operations and ensure clarity around issues or processes. Keep supervisor and colleagues in the loop.Collaborate and meet regularly with PMs to ensure timely processing of contracts, purchase requisitions, invoice payments, IOIs and journal entries.Maintain organized records of meetings, open items and decisions. Document files and issue relevant memoranda of understanding.Ensure REDF Financial Systems are updated and fully reconciled against organizational financial systems for the projects under employees responsibility. Collaborate with REDF colleagues in order to achieve these results.Responsible for the maintenance of accurate, well documented project records, both electronically and hard copies. Maintain organized records of meetings, open items and decisions. Document files and issue relevant memoranda of understanding.Perform day-to-day activities and functions while ensuring that departmental policies and procedures as well as cost and accounting standards are fully adhered to and implemented. Maintains processing, accounting and financial reporting on infrastructure capital projects.Responsible to review and process financial documents and transactions related to Contracts, Purchase Orders, Change Orders,and Invoices, in a timely and accurate manner. Reviews and processes for payment billings from contractors, subcontractors and consultants. Performs vendor account reconciliations. Prepares and processes journal entries.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Related Field Required.5+ years of experience working in Construction, Real Estate, Architectural, Facilities or Health Services organization preferred with a strong understanding of construction accountingDemonstrate customer service and communication skills.Must be able to develop and maintain positive, cooperative, team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers, clients and others as required for the job.Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail as well as the ability to work well under pressure.Demonstrate accounts payable and overall basic accounting skills (i.e., journal entries, working with G/L, budgeting).Ability to work in compliance with company policies and procedures.Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Langone Health provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $97,934.46 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
