Count and prepare medications in Schedules III through VI for dispensing, stock and maintain Schedule III through VI inventory, maintain recordkeeping including refrigerator logs. Strive to provide excellent customer service over the phone and at the counter, demonstrating proficiency and compassion while interacting with customers. Under supervision of the pharmacist, take verbal prescription orders and call prescribers offices for refills and Rx clarifications as permitted by law. Maintain proficiency with POS and pharmacy software. Assist in training new technicians. May be required to deliver medications to patients at the bedside and perform other duties as determined by the pharmacist to assist in daily operations of the store.High School graduate or the equivalent is required.Additional clinical course work or training is preferred.Massachusetts state registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required.Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Certification is required within 18 months of hire. One year of related work experience is required; three years is preferred.Valid driver's license is required.Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hiredUSD $17.80 - USD $27.00 /Hr.
