Class A Local Drivers | $34.40 per hour Class A Transportation Drivers | $.798 per mile$34.40 per hourOvertime after 40 hoursWork-life balanceGrowing companyFriendly & Positive cultureNew Equipment & Clean facilitiesComprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days401(k) plan, Company matchP&D Drivers are responsible for transporting, loading and unloading freight in a productive, safe and claims-free manner between our Service Centers and our customers.Perform pre and post trip inspections on the tractor and trailer that is being utilizedProperly document all freight control processesRead and understand maps, road signs, shipping papers, hazardous materials markings and labeling identificationsAffix correct placards to tractor/trailer when necessaryMaintain cleanliness of company vehicleAssist customers in preparation of shipping papersInteract and converse with external/internal customersSafely operate a forklift to unload/ load products when indicated and neededParticipate in Dayton Freight’s training and improvement programsBe available for irregular work schedules, alternating work shifts and/or assignmentsAdhere to the operational procedures and guidelines contained in the Dayton Freight Driver/Dockworker ManualAt least 23 years of ageAt least 18 months of commercial driving experienceValid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank EndorsementValid DOT Physical/Medical CardNo DUI, Citation/Conviction for Reckless Operations in the past 3 yearsLess than 2 moving violations in the past 3 yearsBasic math skillsFluent in EnglishLegally eligible to work in the United StatesAble to pass a drug screen$34.40 per hourOvertime after 40 hoursWork-life balanceGrowing companyFriendly & Positive cultureNew EquipmentClean facilitiesComprehensive benefits package: Health, Dental, Vision, AD&D, etc.Paid holidays (8); paid vacation and personal days401(k) plan, Company match
