Ata GlanceLegrand"¯has an exciting opportunity for a"¯Quality Control Inspector"¯to jointhe"¯Data, Power & Control Division"¯in"¯Farmingdale, NY."¯We have two openings, one for first shift (7:00-3:30pm EST) and one for second shift (3:30 - midnight EST). This roleis responsible for ensuringthat the final product is functionally and aesthetically compliant according to customer specifications, documenting non-conformances, and maintaining related records.Main Job Duties:Perform first-article inspection for sheet metal, welded and painted partsEnsure conformance to all specifications, customer requirements and company practicesConduct a thorough visual inspection of final products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards and customer specificationsUtilize measuring tools and equipment to ensure dimensionalaccuracyAssure products meet specifications as defined by spec sheets, bill of materials, andAQLAudit production lines to document/record key production parametersPerform pallet inspections to ensure proper packaging before release forshippingComplete final inspection reportsEnsure accuracy and organize inspection documentation as required in thedatabasePerform touch-ups asnecessaryComplete assigned work within a given timeframe and according to specificationsFollow instructions as provided by thesupervisorAdhere to all company safety regulations and support safety policies andimprovementsCooperate with other employees in the department to maintain a safe workingenvironmentMaintain cleanliness and organization of assigned workareaOther duties as assignedEducation:"¯High School diploma or equivalent is required"¯Experience:"¯Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience"¯Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, spec sheets and bill of materials is requiredBasic understanding of sheet metal, welding and machining processes is requiredPrevious experience reading engineering blueprint requiredAbility to use a Caliper and basic measuring tools for quality assuranceBasic understanding of ISO requirements is preferredStrong organizational skills are requiredMeticulous attention to details is requiredAbility to work overtime when requiredAbility to arrive promptly for shift and stand and/or walk for duration of shift is requiredAbility to read, hear, speak, kneel, bend and use a step ladder or stool is requiredCapable of lifting 45 pounds is requiredCapable of working in a manufacturing environment is requiredThis job descriptionis not designedto cover or contain a comprehensive listing of the required activities, duties, or responsibilities.
