The Well-Being & Benefits Analyst I is an integral part of Latham’s Well-Being & Benefits team.This role will be responsible for ensuring that benefits data and information is collected and managed in the firm’s Human Resources Information System and assisting the department with a variety of responsibilities relating to specific benefits projects to ensure the services, goals, and objectives of the department are being met, while performing entry of benefits information into the Human Resources Information System, various Excel tracking spreadsheets, and systems requiring appropriate judgment and a high level of accuracy. This role will be located in our New York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence. Flexibility to be in-office more often during the onboarding and training duration is required.Other key responsibilities include:Ensuring benefit elections are complete including, following up with participants to collect missing information, advising participants of approvals, denials, or requests for additional information with respect to medical underwriting requirements, and requesting required supporting documentation, etc.Proactively reaching out to participants and management when deadlines are approachingCommunicating enrollments, changes, or terminations with insurance carriers and brokersProviding members with termination and leaver noticesElectronically filing all relevant participant information in secured databaseWe’d love to hear from you if you:Knowledge of the terms and conditions of all US health and welfare plans to ensure the proper administration by insurers and vendorsKnowledge of benefits practicesWell-developed and professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firmAnd have:High School Diploma or equivalent, with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferredA minimum of one years’ related employee benefits administration experience; a minimum of two years’ relevant administrative experience may be considered in lieu of employee benefits administration experience Successful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
