The Enhanced Foster Care Specialist position is responsible for the day to day functioning of the Enhanced Foster Care program.Annual Salary Range: $42,680.00 - $46.070.00Are you passionate about discovering new ways to help empower people and make a difference in their lives?If you’ve got what it takes to support us in our mission to provide help and create hope through innovative, collaborative, and diverse programs within the community, then we’ve got the right opportunity for you.About Catholic Charities West MichiganCatholic Charities West Michigan (CCWM) is a community-based agency providing programs in Western Michigan and offering a variety of services in family preservation, behavioral health, child welfare, and community outreach.CCWM is committed to ensuring a diverse workforce and a work environment whereby all staff are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.CCWM encourages persons of diverse backgrounds and faiths to apply for employment.Serves a maximum caseload of eight (8) EFC childrenProvides treatment planning and leadership of the treatment teamParticipates in the recruitment, orientation and training of foster parentsWorks in-conjunction with the Foster Care Worker on intake of youth, placement and program evaluationAssists in driving and transporting clients when neededCompletes and submits required CCWM, and WMPC documents, specific to EFC, within the required time framesCollaborates with Behavioral Aides to assist with appropriate behavioral health and mental health services to child and family to ensure appropriate services are being implemented and appropriately utilizedShows compliance with policies and procedures of DCWL, DHHS, contracts, standards, agency and program expectationsMaintains contact with the child, biological family, caregiver, attorneys, therapists, school personnel and/or other service providers related to the implementation of the service planAttends supervision, staff program trainings, and agency meetingsAbility to support and promote a positive work cultureAbility to problem solve and prioritize many time sensitive tasksAbility to prepare reports, maintain records, and collect and evaluate client dataAbility to read and interpret dataAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writingAbility to relate to diverse populations and cultures while communicating with clients and the public in a courteous and effective mannerAbility to work independently and exercise good judgmentAbility to meet requirements of all contracts, licensing regulations and State/Federal oversightEducation:A Bachelor's Degree in social Work, sociology, psychology or a human service related area as specified by MSA and BCAL rules is required.A Master's Degree in a human services field is preferred.Experience:At least two (2) years experience working in Child Welfare or Family systems along with experience in assessment and treatment planning is required.Completion of Child Welfare Training Institute (CWTI) is required.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:CWTI CertificationState of Michigan Social Work licensure is preferred.Supervisory Responsibilities:This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Our MissionInspired by the Church's social teachings, Catholic Charities West Michigan fosters individuals and families to flourish by providing help and creating hope.Our VisionCatholic Charities West Michigan is called to create a just and compassionate community where all people can achieve their divine purpose.Our ValuesSanctity of All LifeCompassionIntegrityRespectEquityCCWM is an equal opportunity employer, subject to all federal and state laws as applicable to a religious Agency.
