Job description JOB DETAILSBase Pay Rate: $30.50-$36.50 per hour plus $1.00 per hour shift differentialShift: 12-hour rotating shift: (7:00 pm - 7:00 am)DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInstall, maintain, improve and repair plant services and building installations to set levels effectively in compliance with best practices ensuring production efficiency can be met within a safe well-presented facility.Respond to technical issues affecting production and maintain electrical and mechanical services through Planned Preventative Maintenance (PM).Estimate the length of time required to complete a job and likely consequences of failure to complete work within required timescalesIdentify and escalate any activity that has the potential to cause harm or damageReport breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to managementEnsure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulationsEnsure company targets are met in respect of qualityIdentify spare requirements and logs usageAssist in the development of planned preventative maintenance (PM) schedulesCarry out PM schedules as necessary and planned work orders as required and provide feedback to develop the systemAssist with the moving, installation, and repositioning of machines and equipmentTrain and mentor apprentices and less experienced techniciansOperate man lift, fork, and other lifting equipmentWork within the 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain the workplace to a high standardPromote environmental issues and ensure all company procedures are understood and followed Qualifications HS Diploma or GED1 year of Welding and Fabricating experience2 years of Electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair experience1 year of Plumbing experienceExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to exercise substantial initiative and judgment in work methods and interpreting goalsExcellent organizational skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to manage a wide variety of activities at the same timeAble to work cross-functionally and collaboratively with many stakeholdersAble to identify the root cause of any losses Additional information Site Address: 300 Welcome Center Blvd. Lexington, NC 27295For more information please call or text: (336) 422-6539Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
