You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will be responsible for greeting guests, taking orders, serve food and beverages, and checking on guest satisfaction. You will use the freedom to go beyond to turn guest interactions into moments of magic.Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guestsSet tables according to service standardsAnswer questions on menu selections to guestsCommunicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recooking orders, and product availabilityCommunicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchenRecord transaction in MICROS system at time of orderCheck in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beveragesMaintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the dayComplete closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc.Present physical and accurate check to guests and process paymentsEnsure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professionalWelcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standardsRun food and bus tables when you find extra timeAnticipate and address guests` service needsSpeak with others using clear and professional languageDevelop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goalsEnsure adherence to quality expectations and standardsMove, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.Thank guests with genuine appreciationPerform other reasonable job duties as requested by SupervisorsAdditional Duties & Responsibilities: Adhere to departmental policies and proceduresEffectively communicate with peers, management, line and front of the house employeesPractice effective listening: (seek to understand)Perform related duties as requiredBe responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general propertyBe familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accuratelyMaintain complete knowledge of all liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections, correct glassware and garnishes at TerraneaAll side-work thoroughly done in a timely fashionAll guest count are rung in for each checkChecks are closed out in ten minutes or less after the gusts have paidGuests name, table number and room number are put on all checksParticipate in ongoing training and encourage the personal development of all associatesExperience. Must meet the legal age requirement to serve alcohol. Previous experience passionately providing food and beverage service to others preferred.Knowledge. Alcohol service and Food Handler certifications are required. Familiarity of restaurant terminology and food service techniques preferred.People Person. The best part of serving others is creating experiences for them that go beyond the expected.Great communicator.
