The Dishwasher and general utility position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for china, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:Understanding the knowledge of safety and sanitationMust be dependableMust be able to work well in a fast paced environmentMust be able to work in a team environmentMust be able to take directionPosition Responsibilities:Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machineSort and stack clean dishesChange dishwater in dish machine every hourWash pots, pans and trays by handRemove trash and garbage to dumpsterSet up or break down dishwashing areaClean and roll/unroll matsFill/empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutionsSweep/mop floorsSweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpsterConduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directedWipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dryFull compliance with the Department of Health regulationsPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
