Diesel Mechanic

Our mission has always been to provide our customers with the highest quality waste, recycling and environmental services, while keeping focus on employee, customer and environmental safety.What makes our company culture unique is we have mastered the ability to balance the standards of a large corporate company while maintaining our small business family style culture.We are looking for a Skilled Diesel TechnicianWeekly PayPPQ equipment providedOur Diesel Mechanics perform inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment, including diesel heavy trucks and engines. Performs preventive maintenance inspection (PMI); troubleshoots, repairs, and rebuilds major components on vehicles and equipment."¯Ensures accurate diagnosis and effective repair and/or replacement of components."¯Additional responsibilities include:Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.Assists in the repair and adjustment of equipment.Washes vehicles and equipment.Conducts safety checks on vehicles.Assists with service calls for breakdowns.Perform other maintenance related work as required.Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards.3-5+ years’ experience as class A or B mechanicComputer diagnostic experience is requiredPrior experience from waste management industry or heavy equipment/yellow iron dealership experience is a plusTrade school or similar training is a plusKnowledge of safety procedures and practicesIWS is committed to providing a world class work place to all employees.
