Position Title: Aircraft and Airport Appearance AgentClassification: Full Time HourlyPosition Purpose:The Aircraft and Airport Appearance Agent is responsible for servicing the needs of the individual airline club in accordance with the airline and the company’s policies and procedures for all aspects of a successful ground handling operation. Aircraft and Airport Appearance Agent are also responsible for comprehensive cleaning of the airline club while providing customers and passengers with prompt, friendly and courteous service.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Clean entrance/receptionist area and coat room shelvesClean and polish all Club surfacesDust and clean all furniture and ledgesWash all glass surfaces, including artwork, and room dividersSpot clean furniture, carpet, and wallsVacuum floors, under furniture, and inside closetsEmpty, wipe down, and reline all waste and recycling containersSanitize all phones and telephone work surfacesSweep, mop, and sanitize floors in kitchen, bar, lobby, restrooms, liquor closet floors and all floor matsDisinfect and scour floor drains.Wipe down all drawing boards in all conference roomsWipe down all computers, computer screens and keyboards (as needed)Clean/sanitize toilets, sinks, and urinalsWash restroom walls, mirrors, baseboards, doors and framesRemove any and all graffitiReplenish all toiletriesWipe down all kitchen surfacesStrip and wax floorsRequired Education & Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)1-2 years of related experience cleaning houses, offices, and/or buildingsAdditional Requirements: Possess a valid US driver’s license Must pass drug screen and a 10-year FAA background check (employment/criminal)Reliable method of transportation to arrive at the work location on-timeWilling to work evenings, weekends and holidaysMust be able to handle multiple tasks and seek assistance from fellow team members as necessaryMust be able to perform in a fast paced environment while maintaining a professional and effective approach to high stress situationsMust be able to interact directly with customers, airline personnel and fellow team members to resolve problems and issues that may arise during the shiftLearn the various types of aircraft in the airline’s fleet and their individual cleaning requirementsPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative to those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:Able to walk, sit and stand for extended period of timeAble to reach and clean overhead items Safely ascend and descent stairs with and without carrying any weightAble to safely lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally Bending, stooping, reaching overhead, extended repetitively Walk up/down jet bridge stairs at various anglesAble to push and pull occasionally #JGSWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment as well as outdoors in an airport ramp environment. The employee may become exposed to the elements including but not limited to heat, rain, snow and loud noises. Hours will vary based on operational needs. Must be available to work a flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
