Job description Job Title: Director of Brand Development Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer Number of Direct Reports: 2 Key Internal Partners: Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, CMI, Customer Marketing, Marketing Activation Key External Partners: Agency Partners & Vendors Location: New York, NY Job Summary: The Director of Brand Development leads all aspects of the equity and innovation 5 year+ roadmap of the brand. While working with the CMO, the individual will shape the long-term brand strategy responsible for innovation roadmap, equity elements, future design architecture direction, and brand architecture. Job Responsibilities & Tasks: Strategic Leadership: o Develop an innovation portfolio assessment process that ensures financial sufficiency and balanced partnership with Finance and Sales. o Define growth and competitive advantage opportunities by collaborating with R&D and Consumer Insights to identify trends and portfolio integration and expansion opportunities. Lead & Manage o Managing / extending the Portfolio Architecture o Partnering with Design team on Design Architecture and the Equity of the Brand o Managing & owning the brand primary assets o Building the innovation pipeline process to build a strong business plan for the future - evaluating 5 year growth, margin improvements/guidance, and partnerships o Building a master brand campaign for the brand o Managing 2 Leaders of Innovation Key Performance Indicator (KPI): Market share, sales, EBITDA Penetration, consumption and brand equity measures Position Requirements: EDUCATION Bachelor's degree in marketing or other related areas required MBA preferred EXPERIENCE 10 or more years' experience in brand innovation and/or Base business 5+ years within Food and / or CPG preferred Knowledge of syndicated sources (e.g., ac IRI, home scan) used in the analysis of trended consumer and volume dynamics.
