Group: Construction SolutionsPosition: Resident Project Representative/Project Engineer - Project ManagerLocation: Columbus, OHInspect construction work on transportation and utility infrastructure projects to document conformity to construction standards and specificationsComplete and maintain records of field observations, including daily reports outlining the work performed, as well as field measurements and computations for the quantity of completed work eligible for paymentPerform material sampling and testing on applicable materials such as soil sampling, compaction tests, concrete tests, etc.Perform project administration duties such as preparing monthly pay applications and change orders for presentation to clientAssist other project management staff with identifying problems and developing viable solutions for considerationManagement/leadership of other construction supervisors and inspection staff on multiple projectsReview construction documents for constructability issues and provide feedback to owner/designerRespond and facilitate responses to RFI’s from contractorsServe as a representative of the firm at all required meetings, leading client coordination throughout the construction progress. Prepare meeting minutes including discussion topics, major decisions, action items, and information needsWilling to work in extreme temperatures as some work assignments are outdoors.
