Together, we’re building a better network.What You Will DoAbility to able to read maps (design), able to run assist wheel and figure 8 fiberCan successfully climb poles and be productiveBuild strand, lash cable and fiber and be able to handle basic pole transfersAssemble stock I.E. snow shoes, bandsMust be able to load a lasherAbility to be handle crew paperwork ie) production for the day and documentationFamiliar with, and understand the use of, all tools and stockStock truck with stock for the day’s job assignmentCheck oil and do VIR before every shiftResponsible for general organization of truck and cleanliness of truck both in and outAccountable for the advancement and training of anyone on the levels below themConscientious regarding the safety of him/herself at times as well as the safety of every other crew member or individual on the job siteWhat You Will NeedShow up for work daily and on timeMust be able to pass a Background Check, and Drug ScreensMust possess and continue to possess a valid driver’s license and pass random driver’s license screeningsAbility to make independent judgment and perform repetitive tasksRegular contact with co-workers and customersWithin 90 days of start date, take and pass OSHA-10 CertificationMust be able to take and pass, and continue to pass a DOT PhysicalOvernight travel is a requirement of the position and should be expected; hotels and travel is paid for, per diem is supplied to the employees. Typically travel is weekly. Current work located in TN, VA, AL, KY, NC, SC and OH.Overtime should be expectedPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsAbility to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity. Drive and operate a vehicle, and/or bucket. Environmental conditions: exposure is heat, cold, dust, wet, vibration and very loud noise. Requires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer and/or face-to-face contact, vision to monitor, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and fax machines regularly during the course of work.
