The Survey Project Manager will manage all survey activities related to conventional, GPS and Laser Scanning surveys and be responsible for project management on all survey projects. The most frequent and essential work activities include:Supervise SC survey staff.Assist Group Manager, Project Managers, Survey Technicians, and Survey Coordinators with directing the activities of Survey staff. Monitor and improve upon production levels and staff utilization.Participate in and support development of goals and objectives.Coordinate training opportunities for staff.Provide quality control and quality assurance on Survey deliverables. Assume legal responsibility for work.Maintain high level of customer service with existing client base.Work with Survey Group Managers to achieve department goals.Generate new business leads.Assist with CAD mapping as needed (AutoCAD and Microstation).Participate in professional and civic organizations.Analyze activities, costs, operations and forecast date towardgoal attainment.Enforce company policies with respect to safety, protocol, and procedures.Assist in the development of new procedures and technology.Market all NV5 services to clients.Support SUE and Utility coordination staff as needed.Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experienceSC Professional Licensed SurveyorGA Professional Licensed Surveyor a plus5+ years of previous management experienceWorking knowledge and experience in AutoCAD and MicrostationSCDOT experience a plusMust possess or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license prior to employmentWork environment and physical demands of this positionThe characteristics described below are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
