Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, Virginia, is hiring a full time RN (Registered Nurse) in our Med/Surg Unit in a Team Coordinator (Assistant Nurse Manager) role.The Team Coordinator shares the 24/7 responsibility to assist the manager with the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. TCs supervise patient care services staff to ensure patient safety, provides high quality outcomes and an exceptional patient/family experience; assists manager in the development and monitoring of the departmental budget; coordinates the purchasing and payroll processes; serves as a technical/clinical resource to team members; and performs work assignments as needed to provide appropriate coverage and to mentor/assist staff. The teamwork on this unit is exceptional; with everyone working together to ensure the best care for our patients. Combined Our Team Members Have 20+ Years Certified as Medical Surgical Nurses. We are a 42-bed Medical Specialties Unit. Our diverse patient population includes but is not limited to CHF, Sickle Cell, Renal Failure, Vascular, Sepsis, COPD, Pneumonia, Osteomyelitis w/ Surgical Interventions, Wound Care and, an assortment of varying disease processes.We one main Nursing Station and 7 Substations. Within those Substations you can visualize your patient assignment and govern your own work area. Equipment utilized on unit has EPIC integration, thus decreasing your time inputting data.
