Racker offers a competitive rate and benefits include tuition assistance, health insurance, and a 20% discount on childcare services for children and grandchildren of full-time staff.Starting salary range: $45,000-$50,000.Our approach to Diversity and Inclusion -'A world where all people know they belong.'Essential Duties:Support The Centers’ operations and personnel in a manner that reflects its values as defined in the Mission, Vision, Guiding Principles and Code of ConductPlan and organize individualized program for each childProvide individual and group instruction; provide leadership and assign tasks to paraprofessionals in classroom, as applicableAssist in interpreting the child’s Individual’s Education Plan (IEP) to treatment team and provide direction for carryover skillsShare the educational perspective on how to address children’s needs; facilitate weekly team meetingsUnderstand and utilize techniques of other team members in program design and daily activitiesUtilize problem-solving techniques to resolve problems and come to conclusion with teamAccord respect and support to each team memberKeep families fully informed of issues affecting their children and the program by promoting open communication and mutual understandingProvide support and information that families need either directly or by using team members, other resources from The Centers or community resourcesParticipate on multidisciplinary treatment teamAttend meetings as requested by supervisor and site directorAttend trainings required by program regulations, including OCFS regulation, and as directed by supervisor/site directorPrepare required reports, including quarterly progress reports/report cards for each child, and keep daily attendance records for each childPrepare all required reports in a complete, timely and professionally written mannerProvide other reports as requiredTravel to various locations within multiple counties, using own valid working vehicle. Must have a valid driver’s New York State driver’s licenseUphold standards of professionalism with regard to behavior and dressOther duties as assignedBachelor's degree required, Master's degree in Special Education or equivalency preferred.Graduates professionally certified after February 2004, must be New York State certified for students with disabilities birth to second grade.Experience with using behavior analysis in a classroom setting is beneficial, but no required.Our approach to Diversity and Inclusion -'A world where all people know they belong.'
