Job TitleSenior Financial AnalystJob Description SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our dynamic team of Capital Markets Investment Sales Professionals. You will play a crucial role in performing in-depth financial analysis and partner with the team to present findings to our clients. This role is in our NYC office.Job DescriptionFinancial Analysis: Analyze and evaluate rent rolls and operating statements of properties being considered for sale to determine feasibility and valuationReal Estate Valuation: Proficiency in creating financial models, using functions such as NPV, IRR, and sensitivity analysis, and applying DCF methods for valuing real estate assetsPrepare pro forma statements based on current and projected future market conditionsMarket Research: Research, analyze, and evaluate market statistics and feasibility for various real estate transactions, markets and propertiesReview and abstract tenant leasesCommunication Skills: Communicate financial analyses and insights in a clear and concise mannerEffectively present findings to stakeholders, including executives and investorsAssist in the preparation of final marketing materials and underwriting for sales transactionsAssist in collecting and evaluating required due diligence for sales transactions and make necessary inquiries to clients to ensure that required information is provided in a timely and effective mannerContact appraisers, brokers, and research firms to obtain real estate comparable information Industry Knowledge: Staying updated on current trends and developments in the real estate market.Knowledge of Property Types: Understanding different types of real estate (residential, commercial, industrial) and their unique financial considerations.Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding local, state, and federal regulations impacting real estate transactions and investments. Critical Thinking: Applying critical thinking skills to solve complex financial and business challenges. Various types of brokerage support Other duties as assignedJob Requirements4+ years industry experience (real estate and/or finance or accounting)Bachelor's Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experienceSelf-motivated, team-oriented, and strong time management skills to prioritize deadlinesExcellent organizational, interpersonal, quantitative, writing and communication skillsStrong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; more than basic Excel Financial Modeling experience is neededWorking knowledge of Argus Enterprise required, proficient knowledge would be advantageous.Candidates must be able to be in the NYC office 5 days/weekCushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
