You'll work PRN casual hours.We are seeking a responsible and compassionate RN with top-notch clinical skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to thrive in a mulit-disiplinary environment.Assisting in the OR during operative procedures in accordance with AORN Standards and department policies and proceduresArranging and inventorying sterile set-up; passing sterile items to the surgeon, assisting in the preparation and movement of patients, and in the clean-up of the operating roomDelivery of quality surgical nursing care to the adult, adolescent, pediatric, and geriatric surgical patient utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)Providing surgical nursing support for a variety major and minor surgical casesDelivery of quality surgical nursing care to the adult, adolescent, pediatric, and geriatric surgical patient utilizing the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)Comprehensive care of the surgical patient during the pre-op, intra-op and immediate post-operative course for the patientSupervising, directing and coordinating the activities of surgical nursing team members in the absence of the Surgery SupervisorDelegating care based on the abilities and limitations of care personnel and patient acuityProviding surgical nursing support for a variety major and minor surgical casesDelivering care through the use of the nursing process.Current Registered Nurse (RN) License by the Minnesota State Board of NursingBLS, ACLS & PALS will be acquired and maintainedStrong interpersonal, written and verbal communciation skills; interacts effectively with providers, patients, visitors and staffWell organizedDemonstrates critical thinking and decision making skillsAnticipates and recognizes need for immediate emergency patient interventionsPreferred Qualifications:Three years recent acute care work experience
