As a product design director, you will start by using Design Thinking methodology to develop empathy for the product's users. You will work closely with local and global teams to deliver high quality, end-to-end designs in a fast-paced environment. Job Responsibilities Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to build a roadmap with consideration of both our user needs and business priorities Leverage research findings and industry best practices to fine-tune product requirements Plan and strategize design tasks to align with our product deadlines Allocate appropriate resources for projects from multiple channels within the firm Develop and maintain a system to increase the visibility of ongoing projects and priorities Synergize with multidisciplinary teams of product and content designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, subject matter experts, and legal Share knowledge and educate the team and the organization about our design process and best practices Though this is an Individual Contributor (IC) role, there may be the need to eventually manage a team of product designers Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Bachelor's degree or higher in Interaction Design, User Experience (UX) Design, Service Design, Visual Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related fields Experience in the application of design systems such as Google's Material Design 10+ years of work experience in the design field Experience in scaling and managing design teams An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience Familiarity in design, prototyping, and presentation software such as Figma and Keynote Experience working across multiple platforms (e.g., products, websites, mobile apps, etc.) Ability to communicate abstract design concepts visually and verbally in a clear and engaging manner Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Familiarity with Americans with Disabilities Act Standards for Accessible Design and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) Technical knowledge on HTML, CSS, JavaScript Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology Familiarity with financial and real estate terminologies
