NYU Langone Health is in the process of developing a Strategic Campus Master Plan and implementing numerous renovation and construction projects to align its physical environment with its vision for the future. A major centerpiece of the Campus Transformation effort is the development of a new acute care pavilion tobe built on the North Clinical Campus. The development of this new pavilion will require the demolition of existing buildings and the relocation of hundreds of thousands of square feet of existing programs and facilities. Under the direction of the Director of Campus Planning the Space Planner will prepare and produce drawings and other material needed for planning the development of projects throughout NYU Langone Health, both on and off the Superblock.Job Responsibilities:Contact building owners, renters, and customers as necessary for input of project requirements.Performs other duties as assigned.Ability to work independently within department policies and refers to supervisor where clarification of issues may be required.Ability to communicate the impact of design alternatives and effectively interact with NYULH personnel, outside contractors and consultants.Working knowledge of computers, CADD systems and engineering management software used to effectively produce construction documents, specifications and schedules.Proficiency with the technology and media necessary to communicate and reach our constituents in a manner that is open, accessible, and clear.Keep technical skills up to date and remain current on planning and health care industry trends.Participate in the development of feasibility studies, and other studies and reports intended for Senior and other Managers, physicians, other departments and affiliates, clinical leadership, Board members and outside agencies, by analyzing, summarizing and presenting findings, through use of reports, planning documents and presentations.Use knowledge of architectural/engineering technologies to ensure compliance of plans to various construction requirements.Minimum Qualifications:Five years related experience in architectural planning and designTwo years practical CADD experienceQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Langone Health provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $76,721.83 - $122,205.83 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
