Together, our interrelated programs provide a whole-person, whole-family, and whole-life approach that unlocks solutions for a lifetime.Reports to assigned program supervisor or covering supervisor.• Provides home-based clinical treatment utilizing Functional Family Therapy to be assigned caseload of up to 8 cases and provides coverage for peer's caseload as needed.• Working with youth and their families who are at risk of entering the Juvenile Justice System to prevent system entrance• Manages the extensive travel requirements involved in serving families in their homes and in the community.Conducts assessments including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses and individualized treatment planning and conducts intakes as applicable.Participates in all required agency, model and stakeholder meetings and trainings; including but not excluded to individual and group coaching, model consultation, and staff meetings.Adheres to model expectations and implement with fidelity.Consistently meets all program and model Key Performance Indicators (including session pacing, required casework contacts, successful client outcomes, timely completion of documentation, consistent and timely data entry, etc.).Identify and address family risk factors that give rise to possible abuse or neglect, ACS involvement, and possible out of home placement due to continued referral behavior or new risk/safety factors. This includes the completion of safety plans and incident reports if necessary, as well as mandated reporter requirements.Maintains clear, concise, and timely documentation of treatment efforts in intake, progress notes, treatment plans and Family Assessment and Service Planning (FASP), and closing documents that demonstrate compliance with the Functional Family Therapy model and supervisory review feedback.Manages the extensive documentation requirements in all databases to successfully comply with mandates from agency, FAP, and model.Identify community-based resources for families, collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders/providers (i.e., FAP, ACS, schools, doctors, mental health providers, courts, etc.) to monitor participation in services and accompany families to appointments if needed.Provides 24/7 coverage during the week and participates on a weekend on-call rotational schedule as applicable.Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders such as FAP, ACS, School Staff, and other community entities.Other duties as assigned.Organizational expectations include:Regular and punctual time and attendance.Consistent demonstrated commitment to The Foundling’s BHAG, mission, vision and values (Compassion, Dignity, Family and Community, Diversity, Excellence).Adherence to The Foundling’s employee policies, Code of Conduct and applicable rules, laws, regulations or bargaining agreements.*Please specify area of study:Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related subject area.Other Requirements:**Depending on model and program, model manager will support in determining fit role.Preferred Knowledge:2-3 years of accumulated experience (internships through post-graduate) providing direct services to youth and their families in their homes and communitiesAn understanding and commitment to complying with the New York State Central Register of Abuse and Neglect protocol (requirements to report any suspected abuse, maltreatment or neglect of any child).Experience with and willingness to work with culturally diverse populationExperience in managing direct service providers who engage with the identified populations or similar population in high-risk court-involved youth either in Family Court or Adult Court, Child-Welfare programs.Direct use of pragmatic (i.e. structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies.Implementation of interventions within or between systems in the youth’s natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e. family, peer, school, and neighborhood)Individual therapy with children and adults using cognitive behavioral techniquesMarital therapy using behaviorally based approachesSubstance abuse treatment for adults and children using behaviorally based approachesBehavioral therapy targeting behavioral change in children at home and schoolTrauma treatment for adults and children using exposure and cognitive therapiesImplementation of interventions within or between systems in the family’s natural ecology (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood)Strong understanding and the ability to implement the following:Family safety planningRisk and Safety assessmentsSocial skills assessment and interventionCrisis ManagementIncident ReportingCreating and following a Treatment PlanPreferred Core Competencies:Ability to engage clientsWillingness and ability to be strength focusedAbility to problem solve and make decisionsWillingness to advocate for caregiver, youth, and familyAbility to manage stress and self-careAbility to maintain high level of self-awarenessAbility to receive and execute feedback in a timely mannerAbility to be comfortable with cultural differences; to relate in ways that are respectful, strength-focused, and culturally sensitiveAbility to work well as part of a teamGood time management skillsEducation RequiredYesDegreeMaster's level degreeMajorCounseling, Psychology, Social Work or related fieldLicense/Certification RequiredNoFluent in Spanish/English requiredMasters
