Assistant Swim Coach

Duties & Responsibilities Assist in coaching our Waverunners swim team and our pre-swim team program under the supervision of the Head CoachPresent on deck at practices and works with specific age groups to develop swimmers competitive skillsPractices run Mondays through Thursdays, with additional Sunday meets throughout the seasonAttends all dual meets and league championshipsAssists in overseeing individual and team entries for swim meetsMust be available to coach the spring clinic session as wellHelps build team spiritMonitor and enhance performance while motivating swimmersPart-Time, 15-20 hours/week Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications Prior coaching experience preferredExperience coaching ages 5-18Passionate about swimmingPositive and flexible with the ability to create a winning team environmentPossess exceptional leadership qualitiesCustomer service oriented and result drivenStrong communication, organization, and interpersonal skillsAmerican Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED requiredSafety Training for Swim Coaches requiredExperience with Team Manager and Meet Manager preferredUSA Swimming experience preferred Salary: Under $25,000 Agency Information: Kaplen JCC On The Palisades is a welcoming home away from home for all who pass through its front doors.
