SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESProvide supervision to staff during shifts, including assigning responsibilities, changing responsibilities and/or assigned individuals as needed.Ensure program operates in accordance with pertinent regulations and agency policy and procedure.Ensure all individuals' treatment plans are followed appropriately.Provide direct support services as needed or requested.Monitor individuals' health and safety throughout the shift.Ensure individuals' diet and nutrition in all aspects (e.g., menu plans, weight records, etc.) are followed and documented as appropriate.Ensure that planned activities for community integration and/or recreation are completed and documented appropriately. In the event that changes are required, ensure that the Residence Manager is consulted and/or notified.Ensure completion of all documentation in accordance with regulations and agency procedures.Ensure that all prescribed reporting procedures are followed accurately and within appropriate time frames.Ensure all regulations, agency procedures, and notifications are followed in regard to incident management. Ensure completion of appropriate documentation of same.Ensure that the daily schedule and routines are followed.Provide support to staff on an on-going basis, including potential and actual crises.Assist in training staff in implementation of individuals' treatment plans.Model calmness and assurance in order to set a tone of stability and control in daily activities as well as in crisis situations for both individuals served and staff.Model appropriate interactions with individuals, staff, family members, community members, etc. at all times.Participate in staff meetings and individuals' meetings as requested.All other duties requested by the Residence Manager or administration.Must obtain and maintain AMAP and SCIP-R certifications and be an authorized driver. QUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma required; high school prehensive knowledge of OPWDD regulations.Good management, organizational, and interpersonal skillsGood oral and written communication skillsMinimum of 2 years' experience in programs serving individuals with developmental disabilitiesComputer literateMust have a valid New York state driving license.
