Guggenheim Investments is seeking an exceptional Fund Accountant to join its Alternative Investments Accounting Team. Reporting to the Head of Fund Accounting, this person will join a highly collaborative team and assist the team with completing the month end financial close process, preparing monthly financial statements, overseeing the fund administrator, assisting in year-end audits, and performing other responsibilities as may be reasonably assigned from time to timeThe Fund Accountant role presents an opportunity to be involved in all accounting aspects for private credit, real estate, and equity funds.The position is located in our New York office.Proper accounting and financial reporting for structured product vehiclesCompliance with legal documents and SEC custody rule by coordinating annual audits for structured product vehiclesProduction of capital statements, holdings reports, and financial statements for investorsKey collaborator on launching, investing in, and liquidation of structured product vehiclesResponsible for all fee calculations of structured product vehicles including management fees, admin fees, loan admin fees, incentive, carried interest, and expense reimbursementsEncourage collaboration between accounting and corporate social responsibility teamsManages a small team to ensure deadlines are met and staff are developedCPA Strongly PreferredStrong communication (written and verbal), analytical and spreadsheet skills. Exposure to investment companies such as hedge funds, private equity funds, mutual funds, CLOs, or similar accountingBS/BA required8+ years prior public accounting/fund accounting experience in financial servicesAnnual base salary between $160,000 and $175,000.The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated base salary range for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience.
