Position Overview:The Wholesale Account Executive will be responsible for driving new sales, managing existing relationships, and meeting revenue targets for their dedicated market. The Executive will partner closely with local business leaders and focus on sales for our major brands to increase market penetration. The Executive must understand the sales process, have superb interpersonal skills, and develop a thorough knowledge of The Cannabist Company products and the cannabis space specific to our markets. Imperative to the success of this role is working as a collaborative member of the team, demonstrating exceptional relationship building skills, as well as the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment where systems and processes are continuously evolving. Major Areas of Responsibility include: Winning and maintaining general accountsManage strategic sales efforts throughout market to achieve sales goalsDevelop pipeline to identify potential new customersManage key accounts, including Multi-State Operator (MSO) accountsForecasting sales and revenue for their market/territoryNegotiating deals and closing saleExecutes Annual Business Plans (ABPs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for designated accounts that you are assignedDevelop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers to ensure future sales both in-person and virtuallyPartner with business leaders and marketing teams to develop strategies to support sales goals.Facilitate processes for local B2B sales-related tasksConduct monthly Pricing Analysis reportsSubmit sales orders accurately and on-time for approval and to the appropriate parties for fulfillmentParticipate in and attend industry events, including trade shows, conferences, and in-store events to interact with potential and existing customersExecute and record, in CRM, Designated Activities assigned by Wholesale Leadership Minimum Qualifications (Skills, Knowledge & Abilities): All applicants must be at least 21 years of ageBachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred3+ years sales experience. Experience in cannabis or wholesale flower preferredPrior experience with sales deals and negotiationsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationshipsHighly motivated with proven experience meeting and exceeding goalsExperience with distributor management and contract/vendor negotiationKnowledge of marketing strategies and CRM (customer relationship management)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work independently in a highly organized manner with limited direction while supporting a large market/territory with multiple key accountsCompetency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience using computers for a variety of tasksAble to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities Travel %: 20FLSA status: ExemptLocation: This position can be located anywhere in the state of MDPay: $55K-65K Base + quarterly commission bonuses + benefits. Total cash compensation target is $75K - $88K Additional Abilities Required:This job operates in both an office and field setting, requiring mobility between locations and the routine use of a computer and other standard office equipment.
