We are actively interviewing applicants for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator for our manufacturing company. The work is in the greater Mohawk Valley / Amsterdam Region of New York.Starting salary for qualified applicants is $60,410 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Experience working in Human Resources is required. We are looking for work history between 2-5 years in an administrative HR line of work or a combination of work and education/ study. Self-regulation, confidentiality, and discretion are required for this position.We are looking for candidates who are open to learning with a coachable mindset and who are self-driven with the ability to work independently and show initiative.This position is ideal for an individual with administrative HR experience looking to grow their skill set with the opportunity for internal advancement.As an employee, you will receive: 6 paid holidays 1 floating holiday 3 bereavement days Eligibility for health, vision, and dental after 30 days Free life insurance 401(k) + up to 4% company match Up to 4 weeks of vacation 5 sick days As the Human Resources Coordinator, you will implement programs by providing HR services, including: Compensation Health & welfare benefits Training & development Records management Employee relations and retention Special programs Personnel transactions HRIS management Collect and analyze HR data Makes recommendations to management. Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation. Coordinate the resolution of specific policy-related and procedural problems and inquiries. Schedule:Typical working hours are Monday-Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm, with adjusted hours required two days per week to provide additional coverage or exposure for the 2nd shift (flexible start/end time).Some of the Primary Responsibilities for this position include: Responsible for Human Resource activities, including employment, compensation, employee benefits, and training & development. Manage the staffing process as assigned, including interviewing job applicants; reviewing applications/resumes, evaluating applicant skills, and making recommendations regarding applicants' qualifications. Conducts internal investigations with Department Managers, HR Executive Staff, and relevant subject matter experts. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and be sensitive to situations where information must be shared on a "need to know" basis. Performs benefits administration* (in conjunction with, and direction from, the Corporate Benefits Administrator) to include claims resolution, change reporting, and communication of information. Performs employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing. Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; and advising management on needed actions. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends meetings and seminars. Responsible for managing the day-to-day employee relations. Performs other duties as assigned. We are looking for candidates with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of personnel administration, effective oral and written communication skills, and strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations. Two years of Human Resources or administrative support-related experience. Visibility requires maintaining an active presence throughout the facility, a professional appearance, and providing a positive company image.
