Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated Sushi Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry, particularly in sushi preparation and food handling. This role is essential in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our standards for taste and presentation, quickly. Whether you come from a casual restaurant, or fine dining background, your expertise will contribute significantly to our operations.DutiesPrep, prepare, and cook a variety of sushi rolls and dishes according to established recipes and standards.Ensure all food is prepared safely and in compliance with health regulations.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.Assist in menu planning and development.Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools.Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.QualificationsProven experience as a sushi cook is preferred.Strong knowledge of food handling and safety practices.Familiarity with various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.Certification in food safety or culinary arts is a plus but not required.Join us in creating delicious meals that delight our guests!
