Position Overview: Siemens Mobility is seeking an experienced System Interface - Materials Manager with expertise in MRP systems SAP and Cormap/CMMIS to join our growing Customer Service Materials Management team. This position will be responsible for creating solutions to a variety of system interface inefficiencies between Cormap/CMMIS and SAP, Siemens SAP and Customer's SAP, and Siemens US SAP and Siemens Canada SAP. You will be working closely together with our projects materials management team and the SAP Agile team in the US as well as the Cormap Team in the US and overseas to develop a strategy to ensure all systems limitations are resolved, build a roadmap for continuous improvements, and document ideal state for future systems implementations on new projects. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have a great attention to detail and excellent communication and follow-up skills. You should have experience in supply chain processes and in-depth understanding of end-to-end materials related transactions from material master setups, demand creation, planning parameters, MRP controlling activities all the way to material consumption. Additionally, the candidate must have strong understanding on how SAP, Cormap and CMMIS operate in the background in order to communicate the needs from our materials to the IT personnel working directly in the background of the systems and the interfaces and find ultimate solutions. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that project initiatives are met. This position will interact and collaborate with different departments within the organization including but mainly with IT and the SCM departments. This role is a strategic position that will be instrumental in addressing one of the most critical SCM initiatives. Main tasks: Understand limitations, main inefficiencies and current workarounds at each project regarding system interfaces Create a consolidated overview of all SAP-Cormap, SAP-CMMIS, SIE SAP-AMT SAP need and find commonalities and best practices Map current state and develop ideal future state Create Agile stories and Return of Investment analysis Secure budget and ensure full and dedicated support from IT departments Determine prioritization and drive timely resolution Complete and lead testing activities in testing environment Create training plan and ensure materials teams are properly trained Create troubleshooting documents Coordinate with customer (Amtrak) on corrective actions implementations and continuous improvement initiatives Partner with Cormap implementation team to ensure materials perspective is considered Partner with other SCM functions (Planning, MRP, Order Management and Warehouse) to address their needs and ensure solutions do not create negative impacts down the road Design ideal future state scenarios for upcoming implementations Communicate process changes/improvements to all SCM functions and other internal departments and external partners To thrive in this role, you have: High School Diploma/GED, Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management, Demonstrated in-depth understanding of SAP, Cormap/CMMIS systems, Strong experience in various MS Office applications (Excel, Access, PPT, Word, TEAM's, Power BI, etc.), Excellently demonstrated verbal and written communication skills in English, Excellent customer service skills, The ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining an individual workload, The ability to perform job duties with a sense of urgency, Ability to travel domestically approx. 40%, Setting you apart from others would be a Bachelor's degree with experience in the railway industry.
