Base pay range $88,400.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr RPO Talent Sourcing Specialist for IT/Cloud/Cyber Security for PSEG Job Summary Our 12000+ people Utilities client seeks a detail-oriented and strategically minded Sr. Financial Analyst to join the Project Services team within the Information Technology group. The Information Technology group is responsible for managing financial results for the company in accordance with the Operating Service Agreement "OSA", which includes the monthly and annual capital plan, forecast process and providing analytical support for senior management and line of business Director/Managers. This is a permanent position. The role operates in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment, and should have the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. This role reports to the Director of Project Services. Job Responsibilities Assist with the Utility Review Board ("URB") process, including facilitating URB meetings with senior leadership and capital project stakeholders. Assist with all necessary capital reporting as required under the terms of the Operations Service Agreement. Assist in all aspects of the annual capital budget development process. Prepare, plan and monitor the budgets along with forecasts for the IT business unit. Participate in variance analysis and query investigation for financial activity. Conduct capital reporting and analysis of actual results versus plan. Build and maintain internal and external networks to apply technical/professional best practices. Implement new business processes and improve current processes. Provide financial planning for the capital budget development process. Analyze and interpret financial results and forecasts. Drive business process implementation and improvement. Participate on cross-functional teams to solve business issues. Assist on special projects as required. Assist in managing and communicating PSEG Long Island IT monthly financial documents. Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes. Assist in analyzing results and identifying areas of opportunities for efficiency and cost savings. Job Specific Qualifications Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance or Business Management, and a minimum of seven (7) years of financial planning and analysis experience. Demonstrated knowledge in accounting, budgeting and financial practices. Excellent PC skills with a superior working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and other database software. Expert user of Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to value differences in others' strengths and perspectives. Ability to present and interact with senior personnel. Prior experience with IT Financial Management, TBM, Apptio, ServiceNow, Arriba, SAP or similar subject matter areas. Desired Qualifications: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
