Salary: $77,067.98 - $86,316.00 Department: General Government, Stormwater Management Division: Stormwater MS4 Review FLSA: Exempt Job Description: In this role, you will plan, design, and review minor civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, irrigation systems, and drainage systems. Examples of Duties:Analyzes reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data. Calculates cost and determines feasibility of project based on analysis of collected data. Prepares and modifies reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, and designs for projects Inspects construction sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to engineering plans, specifications, and construction and safety standards. Directs construction and maintenance activities at project sites. Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Prepares required reports. Performs other duties as assigned.Basic Qualifications:Graduation from an ABET accredited college or university with a Bachelor of Science or higher in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field and 2 years of relevant stormwater management experience, preferably with a municipality; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid driver's license.Preferred Qualifications:Engineer in Training Certification. Experience with use of AutoCAD, ESRI GIS, ICPR, PondPack/Civil Storm, HEC-1, HYDRAFLOW, HydroCAD and/or SWWM software.Other Necessary Requirements:May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
