All our activities are structured to recognize and exceed the expectations of our customers.Position Summary:The Vehicle Transport Driver is responsible for transferring heavy duty trucks or chase vehicles between dealerships and various customer locations.Essential Functionals & Responsibilities:Deliver new trucks, used trucks and customer vehicles to various locations within the Chicago land areaFollow through with customer returns accuratelyCommunicate any damages or mechanical issues timely to TransChicagoWork with Service departments and Truck Sales departments to communicate customer feedbackJob Requirements:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)2 years of driving experience required Clean DMV motor vehicle record requiredCDL Class B license required with air brake endorsementMust be able to successfully pass a DOT medical certification evaluationCDL Class A license preferredAbility to read and follow written instructions is requiredAbility to work independently, customer service skills, organizational skills, and a positive attitude are requiredRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the jobDriver must be physically capable of performing required workFollow appropriate safety procedures while driving trucks to destination of TransChicago locations or customer locationsCheck vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report to location manager if any issues are foundReport vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehiclesOther projects and tasks as assigned by supervisorPhysical Requirements:The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg. The associate must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.Compensation:Compensation: $20-$22/hr.
