Overview of the Position: Learn and understand the operation of shipping computer software (Pentagon tracking system). Move boxes ranging from 1 cubic foot to 4'x2'x2'. Pack parts for shipping using packaging materials applicable to specific customer requirement, tape boxes shut, create shipping labels and weigh packages. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Learn and understand the operation of shipping computer software. * Pack parts for shipping, tape boxes shut, and weigh packages. * Use power hand tools to close boxes. * Create shipping labels and packing slips. * File invoices, purchase orders and packing slips. * Complete international shipping documents Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Must read and write English. * Must have basic computer software and keyboarding skills. * Scheduling pick-up and deliveries via various shipping companies/freight carriers * RCRA Hazardous waste management 40CFR265.16 compliance * Interfacing with FedEx, DHL and UPS (in person and web based) * Experience with FedEx, UPS and DHL computer applications * ITAR compliance * Customer communications * Knowledge and compliance with ATA 300 packaging/shipping specification
