This position is for a Project Manager who communicates directly with client/internal customer. Leads Hydro Engineering project team in the execution of the projects. Provides oversight of lead discipline engineers, project administrators, project controls, scheduler and procurement representatives, and other team members assigned to the project. Job Requirements: Education & Experience Required: Bachelor's degree required Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Demonstrated experience in leading large teams Experience leading implementation of complex initiatives Demonstrated understanding of utility operations and customer interaction Direct experience in business case development and benefits capture Demonstrated experience in the execution of strategic objectives Proven track record of achieving results in high pressure and high-profile assignments EVM experience Experience in the hydro industry preferred, specifically around water retaining structures (dams, embankments, spill gates, penstocks, tunnels, etc.), turbine-generators, balance of plant operating systems, structures, switchgear, etc. Skills/Abilities: Energizing leader that possesses strong interpersonal communication and facilitation skills Detail-oriented, thorough, and results-focused Self-starter able to work well in new and undefined environments Strong skills in follow-up and follow-through of action items and dependencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations Ability to work across organizational lines and influence key internal executives and managers Support and drive implementation of agreed-upon strategies and improvements Lead the development of organizational metrics and reporting frameworks Drive a practice of continuous improvement using data to enhance efficiency Proven track record of being a strong team player with a results-oriented attitude Utilize risk management to ensure achievement of results Review the Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) included in the Project Management Plan to be validated by Steering Committee Verify the project adherence to federal and state regulatory requirements Approve all project deliverables by verifying (sign off) processes and documents Provide overall project oversight to keep the project on track Ensure business and functional decisions affecting the project are made to ensure progress and completion Ensure Change Management processes to develop readiness plan and related deliverables Escalate issues to management and Steering Committee when necessary Deliver project communications to stakeholders and Steering Committee Make project decisions to ensure all project deliverables are on time, within budget, and meet quality standards Verify and approve the forecast and performance measurement of the project Must have excellent leadership ability, communication skills, interpersonal skills, decision-making skills, and sound judgment Competency Requirements: It is preferred that for this job, the candidate fulfills the requirements in terms of levels indicated below. 1.
