Position Overview Under the general supervision of the Director of Human Resources, the Employee Health Nurse is responsible for the overall management of the employee health screening process. Key Essential Functions Conducts pre-employment health assessment, toxicology screening, and immunization verification for new employees. Reviews all employee health documents for completion. Educates pre-employment candidates and employees on health issues and maintenance regarding immunizations and seasonal vaccines. Recommends, under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, chest x-ray exams for all positive PPD results. Implants, reviews, and reports all findings of positive/negative PPD. Positive results are reported to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) or designee. Reviews laboratory results for all pre-employment drug screens and notifies the Director of Human Resources and Chief Medical Officer of positive results. Collaborates with OTST Toxicology Specialist and Chief Medical Officer to interpret positive results. Performs veni-puncture to obtain blood for laboratory specimens. Maintains proper infection control procedures and privacy while performing health screens. Manages the annual Employee Health Assessment and Medical Screening process which includes a PPD and ensures it is audit-ready. Follows up with pre-employment candidates' immunization status. Administers immunizations (MMR/Varicella, Hep B, and Tetanus) as needed and/or required to ensure regulatory compliance. Plans, implements, and conducts the annual Flu Vaccine Program for employees. Ensures that required employees maintain up-to-date vaccinations per regulations. Ensures appropriate medical inventory levels by ordering and stocking supplies, medications, and vaccines as necessary. Reconciles all billing for employee health processes (labs, urine toxicology, supplies, immunizations, CXR, etc.). Completes data entry of all employee health information into HRIS. Maintains accurate files and records of all employees. Prepares files for review by auditors as needed. Assists in the review of policies and procedures for employee health services. Processes all health record requests for employees. Requirements Associate's Degree required (Nursing, Applied Science, or other related field). Three (3) years of clinical experience. 2-5 years of previous experience in phlebotomy. Strong office organizational skills. Ability to multi-task clinically and administratively. Highly organized, motivated self-starter. Excellent time management skills. Ability to organize and maintain detailed records; complete necessary paperwork and meet deadlines. Why Join Us?
