As a leader in climate and energy technology, Carrier Energy integrates home energy management, battery-supported HVAC systems, and advanced renewable energy solutions to enhance sustainable home climate control. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about home energy management, renewable energy, and IoT-driven hardware product development. This role will be instrumental in bridging Carrier's digital and hardware teams to develop smart, connected HVAC solutions that optimize energy efficiency and improve home performance. Strong project management skills and the ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders across departments are essential for success in this role.The right candidate will have a track record of shaping and executing product strategies for energy management technologies, including battery-enhanced HVAC systems and intelligent load-balancing devices. They will collaborate closely with engineering, business, and IT teams to ensure Carrier remains a leader in sustainable and connected energy solutions.Key Responsibilities:Define and drive the product roadmap for Carrier Energy, aligning with Carrier's mission to deliver cutting-edge, sustainable HVAC solutions.Lead research, development, and integration of home energy management systems and HVAC load optimization strategies.Partner with hardware and software teams to create digital solutions that enhance HVAC energy efficiency, enable battery storage integration, and facilitate smart grid interactions, including demand response and TOU functionalities.Work closely with engineering, IT, and business development teams to ensure seamless interaction between HVAC systems, home batteries, heat pumps with integrated batteries, and other smart energy devices.Analyze market trends and competitive landscapes to drive innovation and keep Carrier at the forefront of the industry.Define technical requirements and collaborate with external partners and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards.Oversee third-party product approvals, regulatory documentation, and IT integrations related to home energy products.Provide strategic direction on Carrier's electrification initiatives and advocate for emerging energy technologies that align with the company's long-term vision.Act as a subject matter expert in smart home IoT, energy automation, and connected HVAC systems.Support product launches and go-to-market strategies to ensure strong adoption of Carrier Energy solutions.Utilize strong project management skills to coordinate efforts across multiple teams and departments, ensuring effective communication and smooth execution of product initiatives.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or Computer Science.5+ years of experience in product management, engineering, or technical development within home energy management, IoT, or HVAC industries.3+ years of experience in smart home automation, IoT connectivity, and home energy management platforms.2+ years of experience in behind-the-meter energy services, residential energy programs, and digital control systems.2+ years of experience with home battery energy storage systems (ESS), heat pumps with integrated batteries, and utility demand response strategies.Ability to travel 20% domestically.Preferred Qualifications: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in delivering high-impact digital and hardware solutions.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to navigate complex technical and business challenges.Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.Experience with agile project management methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is preferred.Highly adept at project management, with the ability to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate across departments.Why Join Carrier?Carrier is driving the clean energy movement forward by pioneering advanced HVAC and energy management solutions that prioritize sustainability and efficiency.
