Job Title: ControllerLocation: Auburn Hills, Ml (On-site)Established in 1988, Munro & Associates was and has grown into a world-renowned engineering and manufacturing consulting firm. Our clients hire Munro to reduce "time to market" and design, engineering and manufacturing costs while simultaneously improving product quality, processes and/or systems. Munro's capabilities span a number of industries including: automotive, defense, aerospace, marine, medical, heavy industries, and consumer electronics among others.Munro & Associates has a proven track record of enabling customers to achieve higher profit margins and in many cases increased market share. This is evidenced by our significant repeat customer business and new customers from recommendations. As we rapidly expand, we are hiring a Controller to plan and direct financial aspects of the business.Duties/Responsibilities:· Munro was recently acquired by Kensington Capital Partners - purchase accounting needs to be implemented· Ensure financials comply with US GAAP and work with new auditing firm to achieve 2025 CY audited financials· Provide US GAAP accounting interpretation for any unusual business situations· Manage bank accounts including related reconciliations· Enter journal vouchers/reconcile key accounts· Develop timely actual, forecast and budget financial statements and summary reports from Business Central financial system, and work towards automating report delivery · Develop accurate cash flow forecast (13-week and 12 month)· Develop allocation methodology to report fully allocated profitability by project and/or revenue stream· Track spending by cost center and develop reports that compare to forecast/budget· Work with VP of Finance to recommend and provide information for key performance indicators· Prepare charts for internal/external meetings including many financial slides and potentially some covering other areas of the business· Support development of Delegation of Authority, write policies and implement Internal Controls procedures in certain areas· Provide financial analysis as needed for capital investments, pricing decisions, sourcing and contract negotiations, among others· With VP of Finance, support company insurance policy negotiations, streamline company expense reporting, company credit card process and travel expense reporting, etc.· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements including taxes· Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and proceduresRequired Skills/Abilities:· CPA certification - required· Excellent interpersonal skills "” able to efficiently and constructively interact with all levels in organization· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Excellent organizational and time management skills· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.· Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software and/or quick learner Education and Experience:· Certified Public Accountant certification - r...
