Your voice matters here, because we know that to inspire and retain the best people, we must empower them.Providence is calling a Design Construction Manager, Ambulatory who will:Be responsible for the delivery of infrastructure upgrade projectsBe knowledgeable and have experience working on MEP SystemsLead and manage MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) and infrastructure projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, and contractors to develop and implement project plans, specifications, and schedules.Be responsible for the day to day management of capital projects ranging in scope and complexityBe responsible for managing the budget, timeline, risks, and delivery of capital projectsBe responsible for the leadership of contractors and vendors and ensuring that these parties embrace our Mission and Core Values and deliver the project as contractedDeveloping budget estimates and rough order magnitudesWork with HCAI 3 and or OSHPD3 ProjectsRead and Interpret lease documents and work lettersTravel throughout an assigned region / territoryPlease note the following important details regarding this position:This role is an in-hospital position and will report into the hospital daily as scheduledThis role requires for you to be located within a commutable distance of the location listed below:California: Santa RosaWork Week: Monday - FridayWork Shift: DayWeekends: This role will require flexibility to work weekends on occasion as needed defined by manager / departmental needsThis role will require for you to travel onsite throughout a defined region / territory frequently as defined by manager and departmental needsEssential Functions:Responsible for providing project leadership, coordination, and facilitating teamwork of project teams to meet construction project goalsAccountable for developing and maintaining construction project budgetsResponsible for working with department managers, service line directors, and chief executives to develop project scopesResponsible for developing and managing RFP's for architectural and general construction services. Review, score, interview and recommend for awardParticipates in design meetings with architectural and end user teamsReviews design documents for quality, ensure compliance with standards and local agency requirementsResponsible for developing project specific infection control procedures with safety and accreditation teamsMonitors compliance of procedures during constructionReviews and approves architectural add services, construction change orders, invoices, and construction pay applicationsResponsible for overall construction project schedule, budget, scope, and safetyManages vendors to ensure top quality work is being performed in a timely manner to ensure good stewardship of financial resourcesAccountable for clear communication with project vendors, engineering, information services, clinical engineering, accreditation, safety teams, local jurisdictions, internal project teams, supply chain, and senior leadershipPeriodically inspects construction for quality and general conformance to design documentsParticipates in furniture selection meetings, manages procurement and move in of materialsCoordinates internal teams including but not limited to information services, EPIC, clinical engineering, accreditation, safety and physical plant operations as they relate to projects and supply chainAccountable for maintaining basic administration files relevant to projectsResponsible for coordination of final project move in and go live activities with all necessary parties and vendorsCoordinate moves for internal and external teams as well as physical move of employeesAccountable for ensuring a construction punch list is issued by architect and completed by contractor in a timely fashionResponsible for completing the project closeout out process as outlined in the technical standardPerforms all duties in a manner that promotes team success and reflects the Providence Health and Services' Mission, philosophy, and Core Values of respect, compassion, justice, excellence and stewardshipRequired qualifications for this position include:Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration-OR-a combination of equivalent education and experience6 years of experience in construction management3 years of experience in healthcare construction managementProven experience with land use practices and procedures across a diverse geographic portfolioDriving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request.
