Lead Civil/Structural Engineer Location:Direct Opportunity with ExecuPOWER (Remote/On-site/Hybrid options available) Join a certified women-owned engineering consulting firm powering the future with innovative design and project management solutions in the utility and renewable energy sectors. Key Responsibilities:Structural Design & Analysis:Lead the design and analysis of substation structures, rigid bus systems, foundations, oil spill containment systems, retaining walls, masonry control shelters, and related facilities. Oversee structural analysis of steel frames, connections, concrete members, equipment, and foundations using tools like STAAD Pro, SAFE, LPile, and ANSYS.Project Management & Leadership:Develop and manage project estimates, schedules, and material lists to support client authorization processes and bid documentation. Mentor and train junior engineers and peers, ensuring quality and consistency across deliverables. Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and internal teams.Site & Field Work:Conduct and oversee field visits to verify design parameters and routing conditions. Perform factory visits to ensure compliance with material specifications and product quality standards.Collaboration & Safety:Work closely with vendors and clients to specify project components and ensure design accuracy. Maintain the highest safety standards, adhering to ExecuPOWER's and client protocols, and using appropriate PPE.Quality Assurance:Perform detailed design and constructability reviews of civil and structural project components. Ensure all work meets or exceeds project and industry standards while adhering to deadlines.What You Need to Bring:Education & Certification:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification required; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred or willingness to obtain one.Experience:10+ years of civil engineering design experience, with a strong focus on the electric utility industry. Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams and complex projects. Deep knowledge of design codes and standards such as IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318/349, and IEEE.Skills & Tools:Expertise in structural analysis software, including STAAD Pro, LPile, ANSYS, and MathCAD. Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Civil 3D for drafting and design. Familiarity with asset management systems (Asset Suite 8, SAP PM) and GIS tools.
